嗡 梭帝
Guide for this fortunate age, crowning glory of the Shakya clan,
Khenpo Bodhisattva, Master Padmasambhava, Dharma-King Trisong Deutsen and the other two great ancestral rulers,
Beacon of the buddhadharma, Atisha, and the rest—
To all you peerless, most excellent of masters, we pray!
賢劫導師釋迦族頂嚴 師君三尊以及二祖王
佛法明燈阿底峽尊等 祈請汝等無比最勝尊
Tho"nmi Sambhota, the first to translate from Sanskrit into Tibetan,
And the great lotsawas Vairotsana, Nyak Jn~anakumara,
Kawa Paltsek, Chokro Lu"’i Gyaltsen and Shyang Nanam Yeshe De, to you we pray!
托米桑布初譯梵為藏 偉大譯師貝洛乍納尊
大譯師娘嘉納姑馬拉 喀卻祥三譯師尊前祈
Rinchen Zangpo, Ngok Loden Sherab,
Dromto"npa Gyalwe' Jungne' and all the other powerful masters of speech,
Countless lotsawas of earlier and later times,
Bringing to mind your kindness, we pray to you from the depths of our hearts!
仁欽桑波喔洛登謝繞 嘉迥仲敦巴等語自在
無數新舊派之譯師眾 深切祈請恩德引入心
In this age of the five degenerations, people like us merely feign a pure motivation.
Now, as we translate into our own tongues the expressing words and the meaning conveyed in the statements of the Buddha,
The teachings of the vehicles leading from the origin, Vedic asceticism and supreme and powerful transformative methods, [1]
And especially those of the pitaka of vidyadharas,
The teachings of kama, terma and pure visions, and those related to the three roots and the dharmapalas,
May we be free from adverse circumstances and hindrances, and may all our pure aspirations be accomplished!
吾等僅具偽善此濁世 佛語轉為自口所詮義
聚引、苦行明覺、勝隨轉 三乘教法尤其持明藏
教、岩、淨見三根等教法 離諸違障善願祈成辦
In keeping with the wishes of the great lotsawas and panditas of the past,
May we bring benefit to the teachings of the Buddha and to all beings,
And may the precious Buddhadharma spread throughout the world,
Developing like the waxing moon, and bringing auspiciousness to all!
與諸洛欽、班欽同所願 願能利益正法及有情
願寶佛教宏揚於世間 如月增長一切皆吉祥
In response to the request made by the English bhikshu Tenzin Jamchen (Sean Price) and also later on by Lotsawa Cho"kyi Nyima and the lotsawas of Lerab Ling, together with the offering of a silk scarf, I, the completely ignorant one known as Cho"kyi Lodro", who bears only the outward signs of a buddhist monk, made this aspiration and wrote it down auspiciously on the 16th day of the 10th month of the Wood Bird year (16th December 2005). Jayantu!
應英國比丘天津蔣謙及譯師確吉尼馬、列繞林眾多譯者，之後又以絲質哈達勸請，我，稱為確吉羅卓(法慧) 之完全無知，僅外相顯示為佛教僧人者，於木鳥年十月十六造此祈願，吉祥書迄。嘉揚都！

中譯說明：
豬年九月十五，名為敦嘎加波者，按
Adam之英譯本於英倫譯迄。願成為具翻譯之善妙心願者能成辦二利之順緣。
後記：
1. 我沒有看到藏文原文，但我猜測英文本應該是配合原文句數。
2. 第一句指的應該是本師釋迦佛陀。
3. 人名在英譯過程中會還原成全名，原文中應該多半是簡稱，但如何簡稱不知道。
4. 第四行比較困難，前兩句我認為應該這樣翻比較合理。聚引等名詞，乃是寧瑪派的九乘次第分法，顯教三乘稱為聚集導引乘，外密三乘稱為苦行明覺乘，內密三乘稱為勝密隨轉乘。
5. 結語中仁波切自謙無知，而這無知緊接在確吉洛卓(法慧)之旁，原文有其幽默在。
6. 仁波切寫下此文的時候，我也某種程度地參與了當時法國的盛會。今天看到此文覺得很有緣分。

嗡 莎瓦斯諦
賢劫諸導師釋迦族頂，師君三尊吐蕃祖孫王，
聖教明燈阿底峽尊等，無與倫比勝生眾前祈。
首先譯梵為藏妥米尊，大譯師貝洛、釀氏智童，
嘎瓦祥積、卻氏龍勝幢，香氏那南等諸師前祈。
仁欽桑波與洛登謝繞，仲敦巴等於語得自在，
新舊無數譯師之行傳，憶念彼之大恩衷心祈。
吾五濁士夫佯發宏願，勝者佛教集諦導引乘，
苦行作明、自在轉勝乘，尤其諸持明者之典藏，
教、岩、淨相、三根本、護法，聖言教以各國語言，
翻譯能詮語及所詮義，無有逆緣障礙如願成，
猶如往昔譯者所發心，醫護聖教與一切眾生，
願此贍部洲佛教珍寶，如月增盛廣布吉祥來。
先有英國比丘顛津蔣謙，後有譯師確吉尼瑪與列繞林之諸譯者，以天物哈達勸請故，我，具有釋迦比丘外相實則渺小無知，名叫昂望確吉羅卓(語自在法慧)者，於木鳥年十月十六 (2005年12月16日)善為書寫發願，嘉揚都！

具有緣分於十年前一同聆聞怙尊教授並於口譯稍有效勞，八年前曾由Adam Pearcey之英譯本漢譯，今再由藏文本重譯。隨喜一切佛典翻譯善業。時值藏曆木羊年佛說時輪日與南傳佛教佛出生成道涅槃日，敦嘎嘉波於英倫。
